Members of the Nebraska Legislature Dear Mr. Speaker and Members of the Legislature: I am pleased to report to you that we continue to make outstanding progress in transforming the State Treasurer's Office into a technologically advanced, cost efficient financial management operation. We have a great team and we operate the office more like a business than a government bureaucracy. Our consistent and dedicated focus on improving the operations of the office has produced exceptional results for Nebraska taxpayers and I am very proud of my staff for the many accomplishments that we have achieved. The following are just a few of those exceptional accomplishments:
We are very pleased and proud to have implemented these changes on behalf of Nebraska's taxpayers and we look forward to our new challenges during the next two years -- the implementation of the College Savings Plan of Nebraska and the centralized collection and disbursement of child support payments. We welcome your suggestions as we continue our efforts to improve. Thank you. |
